The love of inlaying wood carvings according to the ancient Gardena tradition. From "bon dì" (good morning) to "co vala?" (how are you?), the unmistakable sound of Ladin words that still resounds in our valleys today. And then there is the scent of the recipes of the Gardesana cuisine handed down to us by our grandmothers, the typical hats of traditional costumes, and ancient legends populated by giants, witches and mysterious creatures. Immerse yourself in its culture and let yourself be enchanted by the charm of its traditions. The most beautiful events in Val Gardena in summer
Sellaronda Bike Day | From 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. all villages around the Sella, i.e. Sella, Gardena, Pordoi and Campolongo, are closed to car traffic and leave the field free for bicycles for this day dedicated entirely to bikes. The event is free, without registration and open to all. Starting point: Piazza Nives in Selva Gardena.

Feast of the Sacred Heart | On the third Sunday after Pentecost, it is customary in Ortisei to light the Sacred Heart bonfires, to commemorate the victory of the Tyrolean troops back in 1796. The sound of firecrackers and bells start the mass, followed by a parade of typical costumes through the village streets to the notes of the Ortisei brass band.

Handicrafts Evening Market | Are you curious to discover the creations of Val Gardena's craftsmen? Then drop by the Handcrafts Evening Market in the "Bën uni" pedestrian area of Santa Cristina and immerse yourself in the traditions of Val Gardena. Wood carvings, decorations, paintings, leather objects and original embroidery: there is no shortage of ideas for a souvenir to take home! And between one stand and the next, you can also sample some typical Gardena specialities!
When? Every Tuesday evening, from 25 June to 3 September 2024.
Wine tasting Sëira dl vin | Are you ready to taste fine wines from no fewer than 20 South Tyrolean wine cellars? One of the most popular festivals for wine connoisseurs is celebrated in the 'Bën uni' pedestrian area of St. Christina. Allow yourself to be inebriated by the fragrances and flavours of the nectar of the Gods and try the specialities of the traditional Val Gardena cuisine. Cheers!

Sagra del paese di Santa Cristina | Music, folklore parade, food and lots of good cheer! If you feel like diving into the typical festive atmosphere of Val Gardena festivals, don't miss this event. It starts with the mass accompanied by the choir and orchestra of Santa Cristina and continues with the parade of traditional costumes and the band towards the Iman Centre. There will be fun to be had!
When? 20 July 2024, from 18:00 to 1:00 and 21 July 2024 from 9:00 to 22:00.
Ortisei Village Festival | Various bands and music groups will enliven the village of Ortisei during this summer festival. And will you be there? Don't miss the opportunity to watch the parade of typical costumes and to taste the delicacies of Val Gardena's local cuisine. It will be a feast for all the senses!

Ski shows and torchlight processions by the Val Gardena ski schools | Would you like to immerse yourself in a festive atmosphere? Then make a note of this extraordinary event organised by the three Val Gardena ski schools in the centre of Santa Cristina and get ready for a unique show. The three schools will perform in a fantastic ski show where they will prove their talent with acrobatics, choreographies and performances that will leave you breathless!
